5th graders at Saddle Rock recently ventured to Commerce Plaza to learn all about economics! Commerce Plaza is a simulated business experience that provides students with an understanding of basic principles of economics. Students are able to participate in a hands-on work environment allowing them to act as retail operators, producers, and consumers. They even get to write their own personal checks and learn how to bookkeep! This real-world simulation helps students see how math, communication, and cooperation all come together in everyday life.
